Mother Charlotte M. Brandon

Charlotte Marie was born to Robert and Elsie Lewis, June 27, 1945 in Portland, Oregon and has 6 siblings, Brenda, Wayne, Elizabeth, Ronald, Myra & Kenneth She is the proud wife of Charley Brandon, First Assistant Pastor at Walker Temple Church of God In Christ (COGIC) and together they have two children, daughter Tracy Brandon Crittenden, Gene (son-in-law) son, Thomas Terrell Brandon, and three grandchildren Quiana, Channelle-Nicole Crittenden and Trevor Brandon.

 

God called Charlotte and she accepted His call at the tender age of 12 at St. Paul COGIC. At the age of 18 she joined William Temple COGIC, now Walker Temple COGIC. There she has served in countless positions. In later years she was called to a higher level of service as an Evangelist Missionary and served that appointment admirably. She was then appointed and worked as Executive Chairperson for Oregon First Jurisdiction Women’s Department and has currently been appointed as Jurisdictional Supervisor of Oregon First Jurisdiction.

 

Evangelist Brandon, also known as “Mama Charlotte” because she is transparent and always a good communicator. She is open to being vulnerable about her failures and well as successes. She is a person worth emulating by the positive example she sets. She cares as much about others as she inspires them. Her interests are genuine. She is an avid reader, often sharing what she learns. She believes wealth is sharing knowledge. Reaching people though her non-conventional approach and warm heartfelt compassion for the people; bringing the lost to Christ.

 

Spiritually serving in numerous positions on a local and state level in the Church of God In Christ she was Chair Lady of the YPWW department, State Sunday School Field Representative, Personal Assistant to the former Supervisor, Jurisdictional Adjutant (seating for special services and events). She was President of We twelve. Assistant program coordinator for the Jurisdiction Women’s Department. State Minister of Music. Evangelist Brandon served on the Executive Board of the Women’s Department for Oregon First Jurisdiction. In July 2005 Evangelist Brandon was selected as Jurisdictional Supervisor for Oregon First Jurisdiction under the  leadership of Prelate Bishop A. R. Hopkins. The General Supervisor, Mother Willie Mae Rivers, on November 11, 2005 in Memphis, Tennessee, officially installed her as Jurisdictional Supervisor of Oregon First, during the 98th Church of God In Christ Holy Convocation in Memphis, Tennessee.

 

Currently she is the Vice President of Tee Bee Enterprises, Inc., a series of commercial operations. Being miraculously healed of liver and colon cancer, she stays united and loyal to her labor with the National Cancer Society. In 2004 she became one of the newest members of the National Prevent Child Abuse America Board. She has been on the lecture circuit as a motivational speaker, personal coach and mentor for several years speaking at churches, seminars, universities and various events around the nation.  In 2002 she brought the commencement speech to the Jefferson High School graduating class and the commencement speech for the University of Oregon Black Student Union.  In her earlier years she worked 15 years as a social worker’s assistant. As an entrepreneur, she owned and operated “Char-Gal”, a hat and accessories boutique for 2-3 years.

 

Evangelist Brandon believes prayer is the key to being a doer of the Word and receiving the promises of God. Her spiritual mentors; the late Dr. Elsie Shaw, International Prayer Leader for the Churches of God in Christ, and Mother Gertrude Young, Supervisor of Washington State; taught her that prayer is absolutely essential
